Honeymoon - Day 1 & 2

We stayed at my cousin's, Grahame, place on Sunday night so we could get a start to our honeymoon ASAP. When we woke up (6am, ugh!), we went to the unbelievably cute, Diary Lane Cafe. Emma had the tofu scramble and I had the french toast with cream cheese and berry compote. Both were fantastic. Hopefully, we'll make it there again before we leave for Toronto.

Then we drove to the Kensington area to get the keys to the condo we rented for 6 days (only $250!). Also, internet fucking access! Omigod, a dream come true. A week with full internet access and we can download tv shows and watch them right here! Awesome. We've been deprived of our beloved internets for some time now thanks to the impossibility of decent access out in the boonies.

Here's a couple pictures of the condo we stayed at:

The next thing on our list after setting up the computers was a long nap. A 3 hour nap to be precise. It was amazing. In all the time we've been here I've slept better here (with constant city noise) than I have in the last 2 months. After the much needed nap we checked out the shops in Kensington, and scored a butt-load of awesome consignment clothes (mostly from Trend Fashions)! We did basically the same thing on Tuesday, except we went to 17th Avenue SW (Calgary's much cooler equivalent of Edmonton's Whyte Ave). We easily could have bought a ton of stuff, but we exercised some restraint (Emma mostly), and I only bought the dress below (albeit mine's a bit different - it has a halter top instead) from Blame Betty and shoes to match. Actually, the shoes came first. The dress was fate. I usually think fate is a bunch of hoo-ha, but not when it comes to fashion.

While on 17th Ave we went to The Coup for lunch which we highly recommend, and we visited Bird Dog Video to rent Time Crimes. P.S. Never time travel and do everything wrong! Another great find was A Little More Interesting, where I made a fool of myself by turning on sex toys and then not knowing how to turn them off, and having to ask the sales associate there to show me how. They sell the best lube ever! Cheesecake flavoured ones! Brilliant. Who doesn't love cheesecake?
